Inside The World’s First Twitter Hotel – Sol Wave House

With luxury travel being the best it has been in many years, it was only a matter of time before the likes of Twitter took over our lives in many different ways. As you may know by now, I am a Twitter ADDICT… you can follow me here!

Not only can you connect with your clients, friends, even your favourite celebrities through a Tweet, but you can now also check into and interactive directly with your hotel using the magic of Twitter.

Introducing the world’s first “Twitter Hotel”…welcome to the hotel @SolWaveHouse.

This beachside hotel is in sunny Mallorca, it boasts a solarium, swimming pool with pool-side recliner beds, an infinity pool looking directly over the sea, free WiFi (of course this needs to be provided for their Twitter-holics!), live music & sporting events and direct access to the adjacent Magaluf beach.

You can even have a go at flowboarding in their wave machines at the Sol Wave House and join in with a whole variety of activities and events to meet new people and make new people through their #SocialWave community – they have created hashtags to connect their guests before they even meet face-to-face, it’s simply a fantastic idea for anyone looking for a sociable and social media-friendly holiday.

You can book out the #tweetpartysuite to enjoy a modern and unique experience (sleeping up to 4 people per suite) from the moment you book your room. You are greeted with a bottle of bubbly on arrival and special instructions on how to get the best out of the hotel during your stay, VIP subbed treatment and a personalised minibar to cater to your every whim.

Included in this room is your very own “Tweet Concierge”, ready to Tweet with you when making a reservation and to connect you to the #SocialWave hotel experience.  You will gain exclusive concierge services with the #tweetpartysuite and special guest services through Twitter using the hashtag #ASKME700 – I’m intrigued to see what people tweet to this service, aren’t you?!

You can ask for anything you need, anything at all, you can even put in a drinks order via a Tweet….

Welcome to @SolWaveHouse to our friends from Sweden! Have fun and tweet us! If you need something #AskMe700

#askme700 can you please bring me over a bottle of water?  @SolWaveHouse

@****** Of course! We’re coming!

The official hashtags for the hotel are those such as #FillMyFridge, #SuiteContest (to win a suite for a week) and #BaliBed (to reserve your poolside bed for the day) – this one is also a great hashtag to share your bed-based snaps and compare views with other guests!

There is a minimum of a 3 night stay to visit this hotel, but it sounds to me like you wouldn’t want any less time, I for one would be booking a week or more to enjoy this little gem of a destination. With a Champagne & Sushi bar on site too, I’d be set for the week, that’s for sure, it’s going on my dream list for my “Around The World In 80 Stays” plans, let’s hope I can make it here very soon!
