I remember working for the corporate monster a few years back and one of the (very few) benefits was a small “personal development” allowance, of which we could learn to play the ukulele or head to the nearest spa for some much needed peace and quiet. Well, you can imagine which option I used to take on my annual pilgrimage to get the most out of that allowance!

I would take myself off to the likes of The Sanctuary or Ragdale Hall for some head to toe pampering and at this time my love for the spa really started to come alive.

That feeling of wanting to strangle your colleagues before you head into the spa, followed by that serene “couldn’t care less” attitude you inherit after a few hours of being pummeled by rainforest showers and floating in ice cold waters – everybody should put themselves in a spa for their mental well-being, as well as for the more physical.

Reading my spa reviews will hopefully encourage more of my readers to join the spa addicts like myself and enjoy some guilt-free time out from their potentially stressful lives.
